The Latin American Studies minor emphasizes a transnational and interdisciplinary approach to the region’s culture, history, and political orientations. Students desiring to minor in Latin American Studies must complete a total of five courses from three different disciplinary fields including one of two required courses: History of Modern Latin America (HIST2125) and Politics of Race and Ethnicity in Latin America (POLSC2301).
